Career Connections

For Students

Career Connections provides the opportunity for current students to connect with LVC alumni for the purpose of exploration, networking, and mentoring through the job and/or internship search process.  The program is a collaborative effort between the offices of Career Services and Alumni Programs.


Here are a few activities to help you build a mentoring relationship:

  • Informational interviews to develop a clear perspective about a career field
  • Company site visits and days of shadowing
  • Resume critiques
  • Mock interviews and advice about the best methods of entering a career field
  • Gaining additional contacts (referrals)


Current students can access Career Connections mentors through their LVC JOB CENTER account. The TIP Sheet: Connecting with Alumni Mentors and the Getting Connected webshop will help you make an impressive first connection.

Consider becoming a mentor with Career Connections! Provide valuable career advice and job search assistance to current LVC students and alumni.  Details can be found HERE.
