Ensembles

COMMUNITY STRING ENSEMBLE

Open to musicians of all ages and playing levels, advanced-beginner through intermediate-advanced.  Music will be adapted to individual ability!  Repertoire from popular and famous classical melodies, original works and folk music/fiddle tunes.  Orchestral or group playing experience is helpful but not required to join.  All age students (school age to adult) are welcome!  Ensemble playing skills and practice techniques will be taught in a group setting.  NO AUDITION REQUIRED

WHEN:     Starting the end of January 2015

TIME:        9:30am-11:00am

WHERE:   Blair Music Center, Lebanon Valley College

COST:      $110 per semester (includes tuition and music)
                   $100 per semester for students currently registered for private lessons in CMI or at LVC

The instructor for the string ensemble is Dalinda Bohr.  Dalinda graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a B.S. in Music Education, and a B.A. in Music.  She also has her M.M in Music Education, and Music Technology.  She is currently orchestra director at Central Dauphin East High School, and is nationally board certified for orchestra.

 

NOTE:      Additional groups may be added or times may be adjusted on Saturdays depending on size and
                   needs of the ensemble.
