The LVC staff understands that your college experience may present personal and transitional challenges, as well as opportunities for growth. Our counseling services are designed to promote a holistic view of wellness in mind, body, and spirit. Students seek short term counseling for a variety
of issues, some of which include:
-Lack of assertiveness
-Safe Zone for LGBTQ
In addition, the counseling staff periodically offers outreach programs to discuss issues that have an impact on the lives of college students. Some of these programs address the following topics:
-Sexual Assault Education
-Depression and the college student
-Anxiety and the college student
-Alcohol and drug education
-Suicide prevention and education
Appointments & Fees
Counseling Services are located on the second floor of the Shroyer Health Center.
Appointments can be made Monday-Friday (8am-4:30pm) during the academic year by calling 717-867-6232. There are no additional fees for counseling sessions. Most appointments are 45 minutes long.
The counseling center has a full-time licensed psychologist and a part-time licensed clinical social worker on staff that are able to provide individual, couples, and group therapy to undergraduates using a short term model. Medication evaluations by a consulting psychiatrist are also available.
