How long does the hiring process usually take?
Each department has different hiring needs, so the length of the hiring process will vary depending on the position.

Due to the heavy volume of applications we receive, we are unable to personally confirm the receipt of your application materials. Candidates who submit employment applications online will receive a successful submission confirmation via email.
What happens after I submit my resume?
Your application materials are forwarded to the hiring manager for review. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by Human Resources. Please note that because each department has different hiring needs, the length of the hiring process will vary depending on the position.
What is the application deadline for the position I applied for?
Application deadlines are listed on the job posting. Once the position is filled, or if the application deadline has passed, the job posting is removed from our website.
Where can I find the salary information for a specific position?
Salary ranges are established and discussed during the interview; pay is commensurate with experience.
How do I follow-up on my application?

for the most current status of a position. All positions that are posted have not yet been filled. When a position is removed from the website it has either been filled or has entered the candidate interview phase.
How do I schedule an interview?
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by Human Resources. For most positions, candidates who best meet the search criteria are scheduled for a 30 minute phone interview as the first step in the interview process. For those not selected for a phone interview, an email is sent from Human Resources explaining that they were not selected.
I was interviewed by phone for a position but have not heard back from Human Resources. How will I know if I was selected to move further in the process?
The length of time required to fill a position varies depending on the needs of the department. Emails are sent to those who were interviewed by phone for the position but were not selected to move further in the process. The hiring manager will contact candidates selected for on-campus interviews.
I was invited to an interview but something came up and I will not be able to attend. Whom should I contact?

How do I know when a job is filled?
Candidates who were interviewed on campus by the hiring manager will be notified by the hiring manager whether or not they were selected for the position.
Does LVC require a background check?
Yes, final candidates will undergo a series of background checks depending on the position and the requirements for the position. All candidates who come to campus for an interview will be asked to sign a background check authorization form. An offer of employment will not be extended until background checks have been completed.
How do I know if I am a final candidate?
The hiring manager will contact the final candidate to offer the position.
I received a regret letter / email regarding the position to which I applied. Can I contact Human Resources for additional feedback?
Human Resources does not provide additional feedback regarding your application materials or interview performance.
