International Student Grant and Scholarship

Once you have applied and been accepted for admission into LVC you will receive an International Student Grant and may be eligible for an International Student Scholarship.

International Student Grant

International students (those entering the USA on a student visa) may receive a grant of one-third tuition. This grant is deducted from the student's bill and does not need to be repaid. The grant is renewable and can be received for up to eight semesters. Students must make satisfactory progress toward their degree and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.25.

International Student Scholarship

Scholarships of $2000 and $3000 may be awarded to new international students. These scholarships will be in addition to the one-third tuition International Student Grant given to all international students who enroll at LVC and who are not eligible for federal student aid.

The International Student Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive basis using academic performance and potential to contribute to the campus community as primary criteria. The scholarships are renewable and can be awarded for up to eight semesters as long as students maintain the following grade point average minimums:

$2000 scholarships - 2.5 GPA for the first two semesters and a 2.75 GPA thereafter.
$3000 scholarships - 2.75 GPA for the first two semesters and a 3.0 GPA thereafter.

The International Student Grant and Scholarship policy is effective Fall 2000.
