Permanent Collection


The permanent collection at Lebanon Valley College contains works from the sixteenth century to the present. Highlights include a Renaissance painting after Titian by Paris Bordone (1500-1571), a pair of landscapes by Christian Brand (1695-1756), a group of bronze sculptures by Frederick Remington (1861-1909), and original paintings by American illustrator Frank Godwin (1889-1959). Among the works on paper in the collection are examples by Bernard Buffet, Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall, Honoré Daumier, William Gropper, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Salvator Rosa, Giovanni Battista Piranesi and Rembrandt. The Gallery collection also contains examples of Pennsylvania German fraktur, as well as Chinese, African and Inuit art.

The Gallery collection is rich with works by contemporary artists such as Neil Dreibelbis, Rob Evans, Carol Galligan, Carol Brown Goldberg, Robert Heilman, Bruce Johnson, G. Daniel Massad, Catherine Murphy, Miriam Schapiro, and Arthur Hall Smith.

In addition to paintings and works on paper, the campus of Lebanon Valley College is graced by contemporary outdoor sculpture including works by artists Audrey Flack, Ronald Sykes and James Buchman.
