HelpDesk - A help desk is available to report problems with college-owned computer equipment and to obtain assistance with software we support. During the academic year, the HelpDesk is staffed from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (summer hours end at 4:00 pm). To speak with someone at the HelpDesk, stop by Lynch 004 or call ext. 6072 (or 717-867-6072) during business hours. After hours, send an email message to firstname.lastname@example.org and someone will respond the next business day. Personal Computer Support - As a courtesy, we will examine a student's computer and attempt to fix software problems as time permits. If we suspect a hardware problem, we will advise the student on what we believe to be the best course of action. Note: We strongly recommend that students regularly copy critical files stored on their hard drive to their network file storage area or to a CD, DVD or some other device.
Residence Hall Services - The College provides each residence hall room with a network jack for each student, a connection to the campus cable system, and a telephone line. A wireless network is also available. More Information
Computer Purchase Program - The College works with two vendors (Dell and Apple) that provide discounts to faculty, students and staff. If you decide to purchase from one of these vendors, you will order, pay for and obtain the system directly from them. The vendor also provides support for the system. Buying Computers and Software
Computers Available for Loan - Faculty and staff may borrow on a short-term basis one of several laptop computers for college-related activities. For more information, contact The IT HelpDesk at ext. 6072 (717-867-6072 from off-campus).
