Diversity Action Committee

The Diversity Action Committee’s purpose is to actively promote and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive institutional environment for all members of the Lebanon Valley College community with particular focus on groups that have been historically marginalized in society. The goal of the committee is to create a sustained institutional culture that is aware, accepting and enhanced by the rich cultures, races, genders, sexual orientations, ages and physical abilities represented on campus.

The committee is an action oriented committee. Committee membership will be dedicated to impacting student, faculty and staff experience, recruitment/ retention, as well as educational programming. Focus areas of the committee will include enrollment management (recruitment/retention), curricular infusion, co-curricular programs, support, and assessing the campus climate around diversity (what people know, what they think they know, how diversity is defined, and perceptions regarding the college’s stance/view and investment in diversity).
