Facilities & Recreation

Campers stay in modern, air-conditioned residence halls monitored by LVC student counselors. Campers will eat in the Mund Dining Hall.  Recreational activities include picnics, movies, concerts, sports at Arnold Sports Center, and an evening at nearby Hersheypark.

Campers will spend their week learning and performing in Zimmerman Recital Hall and Blair Music Center, one of the largest and best-equipped music facilities in Pennsylvania, which features:

32 teaching studios, and 30 individual practice rooms with pianos, 3 percussion
practice rooms, and 3 organ practice rooms. There are several classrooms and
rehearsal halls for ensembles and lectures.

Blair Music Center also has its own Music Technology Center.
This center is equipped with individual workstations that
include Yamaha Arius Digital Pianos and Apple iMac desktop
computers.

Four recording studios operate within Blair Music Center. There are two multitrack facilities, a mastering suite, and an experimental sound/composition lab. To learn more about our music recording technology facilities, please check out our studio page.

Lutz Recital Hall, a 500-seat concert hall, can also be found int Blair Music
Center. Recently, a new nine foot Steinway D grand piano was purchased for
use in the hall.

Zimmerman Recital Hall

This 175-seat former chapel is our premiere space for chamber performances, providing an intimate, acoustically pleasing environment for many of our departmental concerts. Zimmerman Hall is home to the Music Department's seven foot Steinway B grand piano. This instrument is appropriate for the size of the hall and its performances.
