FOR-U Ministries Bible Study
Thursdays at 7 p.m.
Fellowship Lounge, Miller Chapel
All are welcome to come and learn about Christianity, to be part of a community where your viewpoint is welcomed as a way to understand how our lives are shaped by our worldviews, and to build fellowship and lasting relationships with your peers. In the fall of 2013, we will be starting a series called "True U," produced by Focus on the Family & The Truth Project. The series first considers questions such as "Does God Exist?" and "Is there evidence for a Creator?" as it builds a scientific
case for answering in the affirmative. Ten 30-minute session provides
facts and insights from philosophy, cosmology, and biology to help students get
a better understanding of foundations of Christianity.
Spring 2014 will
feature Part Two of the series, "Is the Bible Reliable?" Is the Bible
a book of myths and fairy tales, or is it a book of history and
truth? This series provides a thorough overview of major archaeological
and historical discoveries that demonstrate the historical reliability of the
Bible. The material presented in the ten lessons (approximately 25 minutes
each) will help participants to gain a better understanding of the geography,
culture, and history of events in the Bible.
