Frequently Asked Questions

What is the application deadline? 
We accept applications from January 15 through April 15.  Since we review them as they arrive, please apply as soon as possible because there are a limited number of spaces available.

How and when will I be notified that I’ve been accepted into the camp?
You'll be notified by email, and that email will also include payment instructions and a request for information regarding allergies, medication, or other particular needs of the student.

When will I arrive and depart from camp?
Check-in for the first camp will be from 2:00 to 3:00 on Sunday June 26, and check-out will be at noon on Friday July 1. For the second camp, check-in will be from 2:00 to 3:00 on Sunday July 10, and check-out will be at noon on Friday July 15.

What do I bring to camp?
You should bring clothes, towels, linens, and toiletries. You’ll have computer access for all camp activities, but you’re welcome to bring your own laptop. Meals will be provided, and you can bring snacks to keep in your dorm room. Single beds in dorm rooms are usually 'extra long', but ordinary sheets can typically be stretched to fit.

How do I pay the camp fee?

Who will supervise students? Is campus safe?
Students will live in a dorm with Resident Assistants, who are current LVC students chosen specifically for that task. The dorms are always locked, and LVC public safety officers are always on duty. The camp director can be contacted at any time by the Resident Assistants.

What will happen in case of an emergency?
If a student gets sick or injured, parents will be contacted. In case of an emergency, the student will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Do  you accept applications from international students?
