Dr. Nicole Gilbertson is an Assistant Professor in the Exercise Science Department, serving as the Exercise Science Graduate Program Director. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Virginia in Kinesiology, and she is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. Dr. Gilbertson’s teaching interest lies in exercise physiology, clinical exercise physiology, and exercise testing and prescription. Her research is focused on evaluating the effect of diet and/or exercise interventions on cardiometabolic health and quality of life in individuals with obesity related diseases.
