True Black History Museum – Women of Color

Bishop Library Atrium

In honor of Women’s History Month, we invite you to celebrate Black Women in History through this powerful, self-guided experience. Bring your class, colleagues, or friends—all are welcome!

What to Expect:

  • A unique museum experience showcasing the contributions of Black women throughout history.
  • Grab-and-go snacks and cultural treats to enjoy.
  • A chance to immerse yourself in history and reflect on how we shape our future.

Make sure to carve out extra time to visit Bishop Library’s Women in History Book Display, as well as special exhibits from the Asian Culture Club and Latin Hispanic Alliance, highlighting influential women from their cultures.

This exhibit is made possible through LVC’s Inclusive Excellence Grant, The Black Student Union, The Asian Culture Club, The Latin Hispanic Alliance, The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Excellence Office, and The Vernon and Doris Bishop Library.

Let’s come together to celebrate our shared history and continue shaping a more connected and representative future! We hope to see you there!
