Exercise Science Graduate Assistantships
The Graduate Assistant (GA) in Sport Performance will support LVC’s Strength and Conditioning program by assisting with supervision, set-up, and coaching of assigned student-athletes and communication with head sport coaches and athletic training staff as needed to address individual student-athlete needs.
Applicants must hold an undergraduate/graduate degree with a minimum 3.0 CGPA in exercise science or related field and be fully accepted in the M.S. in Sport Performance program. Selection preference will be given to individuals holding either CSCCa-SCCC and/or NSCA-CSCS certifications and prior S&C experience.
Start and end dates for accepting applications:
- Start – July 1 for fall position; December 1 for spring position; April 1 for summer, as applicable.
- End – First day of each semester
Interviews will be coordinated with LVC’s head strength coach, program faculty, and applicants. The accepted GA will be notified approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester.
Anticipated number of hours/week: Maximum of 20 hours/wk.
