Back to Basics: Focusing on Synergy, Social Emotional Learning, & Self-Care
Join LVC’s Graduate & Professional Studies on November 2 from 6–8 p.m. for a professional development opportunity for educators and other school personnel. ACT 48 continuing education hours will be given to those who attend.
Now that educators are back in the classroom, it is time to focus on social-emotional learning and the trauma-informed classroom, self-care through mindfulness, and utilizing those online resources created during COVID in a traditional classroom setting. The evening will offer three mini sessions focusing on these areas.
The itinerary for the evening is:
5:45 p.m.—Check In, The Underground (located in Allan W. Mund College Center)
6 p.m.—Welcome
6:25–8 p.m.—Mini-Sessions:
- SEL and Supports for the Trauma-Informed Classroom with Dr. Susan Weiss and Dr. Diane Schubier
- Utilizing Online Resources in the Classroom with Dr. Joyce Good
- Mindfulness and Well-Being with Dr. Jennifer Stumphy
