When Megan moved to Annville, she was already contemplating a career change. Until then she had only worked in the medical field but wanted to find something less demanding of her time with her growing family. She quickly settled in and grew fond of the safe, tight-knit town. On her family’s first Halloween trick-or-treat night in Annville, Megan was impressed to see LVC students patrolling neighborhoods, directing traffic, and handing out candy. That evening inspired her to visit the LVC employment website regularly to check on staff openings. She applied for a few positions and ultimately received an offer in academic affairs. She has worked at LVC since 2016 and still thinks it’s the best decision she has ever made.

Whenever Megan is asked about her job, she says, “I absolutely love every part of my job.”  While she handles the department’s administrative duties, she prefers engaging with the students and providing a space for them that is welcoming and inclusive. Students may ask her to play a game, color, or do a craft to help them de-stress. More important, they often just need an objective person who will listen to them.

She keeps the center stocked with essential school supplies and snacks. Megan is also an LVC Confidence, Accountability, Resilience, and Engagement (CARE) team member.  The CARE Team is a group of faculty and staff dedicated to the health, wellness, and success of each student academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.  They identify and develop success plans for students facing any type of challenge. She feels fortunate to work with such dedicated colleagues. The CASEM team works hard to help LVC students succeed academically while ensuring their emotional needs are met.

Megan is compassionate. She loves animals and has two cats but is looking forward to adding a dog or two to the family when space allows. When her private catholic school alma mater shuttered, she joined a group of parents, alumni, and former faculty to establish a new private catholic school. As a founding member, she serves on the board of trustees and as board treasurer for Our Lady of the Cross School, which opened in 2021.

Off campus, Megan loves caring for and spending time with her children. She enjoys watching them participate in school activities, streaming a movie with them on a Friday night, or getting together with her large extended family. When she does get a moment of free time, she likes to walk around Annville and the campus or unwind with a jigsaw puzzle.
