Theatre Intensive and Technical Theatre Design

Unlock your creative potential at the LVC Summer Music Theatre Intensive & Technical Theatre Design Camp! This weeklong immersive experience offers students a chance to refine their skills in acting, singing, dancing, or theatre design. Guided by expert faculty, participants will engage in college-level training designed to develop artistry, build confidence, and prepare for future opportunities in theatre.

Eligibility: This camp is open to high school students entering 9th through 12th grade who are passionate about performance or technical theatre.

Pricing:

  • Commuter: $350
  • Resident: $625 (includes room and board)

Summer Music Theatre Camp 2025

Program Highlights

  • Core Training in Performance: Daily acting classes, monologue coaching, dance training, and voice lessons.
  • Audition Preparation & Song Coaching: Learn to master your audition process, build your repertoire, and hone your performance skills.
  • Musicianship Tools for Theatre Artists: Gain essential musical knowledge tailored to theatre performers.
  • Specialized Electives: Expand your skill set with options like Voiceover, Directing, and Wellness for Performers.
  • Scene Study & Showcase Rehearsals: Collaborate on scenes and rehearse for the end-of-week showcase.
  • Final Performance Showcase: Performance students will present scenes, monologues, and musical numbers, while tech students will design and manage lighting, sound, and scenic elements, bringing the production to life.
  • Technical Theatre Design Track: Hands-on training in lighting, sound, scenic design, and stage management for those passionate about behind-the-scenes work.

7:30–9:30 p.m. Evening Camp Social Activities
9:30–11 p.m. Free Time in Dorms
11 p.m. Curfew – All campers must be in rooms
