Military/Veterans Affairs Scholarships
The American Legion sponsors a number of programs for both high school seniors and current undergraduate college students. Various eligibility requirements apply for each scholarship. For scholarship applications and additional information visit the American Legion website.
Eligibility: College students who are pursuing their first undergraduate degree; each individual scholarship has its own additional requirements
Amount: Awards range from $500 to $3,400
Eligibility: Female student or the child of a female who has served or is serving honorably in the US Army, US Army Reserve, Army National Guard
Amount: Varies based on scholarship
Eligibility: A woman veteran, reside in the geographical area of Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wheeling WV, and must demonstrate through documentation her financial need.
Amount: No less than $1,000
Eligibility: High school seniors or undergraduate college students who are children of active-duty personnel, reserve/guard and military members, or survivors of service members who died while on active duty
Amount: $2,000
The Lebanon Valley College Military Scholars Tuition Reduction Program is available to Veterans (whose discharge is other than dishonorable) and current Servicemembers on Active Duty or serving as reservists. This program is offered only to enrolled part-time undergraduate students or Master’s level graduate students enrolled in the MBA program. The program is not open to dependents of Veterans or to full-time undergraduate students or students of any other graduate program. The tuition will be set at a rate of $485 per credit for the 2021-2022 academic year and will be re-evaluated each year.

Eligibility: Military spouses attending college
Amount: up to $2,500

Eligibility: Children of honorably discharged veterans who have service-connected disabilities and served during a period of war or armed conflict or children of veterans who die or died in service during a period of war or armed conflict
Amount: up to $500 per semester for up to 4 years
Eligibility:
Veteran and active-duty military service members from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces including the National Guard who have served in both pre-and post-9/11 eras.
Current Spouses of veteran or active service members, including surviving spouses.
Spouses, veterans and service members who apply must be a full-time* student pursuing one of the following degrees at a public or private, U.S.-based, accredited institution for the upcoming fall/spring academic year:
- An undergraduate degree (Bachelor’s or above)
- A graduate or professional degree

*full-time as determined by the institution and program of study to which an applicant is applying
Amount: Varies based on need
Eligibility: A surviving spouse or a surviving child of a deceased service member from a service-related death OR a veteran with a 100% service-connected disability
Amount: 10 one-time scholarships for up to $50,000 for this upcoming semester
