Academic, Leadership, & Need Based Scholarships
Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Senior standing – Plan to graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2025.
- Fall College Enrollment – Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2025.
- GPA – Earn a minimum, cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.75 or above.
- Demonstrate Unmet Financial Need – We will consider applicants with family annual gross income up to $95,000. During the selection process, the Foundation will conduct a full financial review which will take into account all income and assets of the student and the student’s parents.
Amount: Up to $55,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school.
Eligibility:
- Undergraduates must be under 30 years of age at the time of application. Graduates must be under 40 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and must enroll full-time in a four year bachelor degree or approved graduate program.
- PhD candidates who have only the dissertation to complete and who are not enrolled in class full-time are not eligible.
- High school seniors are eligible to apply during their senior year in high school for their first year in college.
- Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
- Scholars who are requesting aid for a second degree at the same level for which a degree has already been awarded are not eligible to apply, for example, a second Bachelor’s Degree or second Master’s Degree.
- Due to limited funding, the number of applications given to students enrolled in graduate study at medical, law or business school is limited.
- A personal interview in New York City is required of all applicants. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
- Students who have previously applied for a Leopold Schepp Foundation Scholarship and who were denied an award are not eligible to reapply.
Amount: Varies based on funding available
There is not a specific deadline for submitting a Request for an Application. The cutoff is automatically imposed when a sufficient number of requests have been received. The Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2025-26 academic year.
Eligibility: College students (graduate or undergraduate) that display student leadership on campus

Eligibility: DAR’s scholarships are awarded and judged without regard to gender, race, color, religion, national origin, or disability.
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States.
- Applicants must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States.
- All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance.
- Awards are based on academic excellence, commitment to the field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships.
- Awards are placed on deposit with the recipient’s college or university and any unused portion shall be returned to the DAR.
- Applicants are only eligible to receive one scholarship from the DAR.
Amount: Up to $5,000 (varies based on scholarship)
Eligibility:
- College-bound graduating high school seniors, current college students, or adult learners.
- Must also reside in a rural area and meet low-income criteria outlined in the terms and conditions listed below.
Amount: $1,000 each Spring and Fall semester
Eligibility: In order to qualify for the Custody X Change Single Parent Scholarship, you must:
- Have primary physical custody of one or more minor children
- Be enrolled full or part-time as an undergraduate at an accredited college or university
- Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher or be a first-semester student
The scholarship is open to single-parent students around the world. If you’re outside the US, you should have the equivalent of 3.0 GPA or higher on your university’s grading scale.
