The LVC Sports Center

LVC Sports Center promotes, conducts, and administers recreational activities and fitness programs that support the health and wellness of our students, faculty, and staff. The Louis A. Sorrentino Gymnasium—home to LVC’s women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, indoor track and field, and swim teams—is also housed in this athletic complex.

Community Member Information

Community Member Hours (Spring 2025)

  • Facility: Monday–Friday, posted opening until 1 p.m.
  • Pool Hours:
    • Monday & Wednesday: 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
    • Tuesday & Thursday: 6:30–8 a.m.

Membership Fee is $20 per person per month. We accept Tivity,  10% discount for active military with ID and LVC alumni.  All memberships must be processed in person.

Please review posted building signage regarding updates to our schedule for holiday and break hours. Changes may include updates to the facility, arena, or pool schedule.

  • Monday–Thursday:  6 a.m.–9:30 p.m.
  • Friday:  6 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday:  8 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Sunday:  Noon–8:30 p.m.

Please note:  LVC Sports Center community memberships do not extend past 1 p.m. and do not include weekend hours.

Swim Lessons & Clinics Spring 2025

Swimming Clinics

March 25, 27, April 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 22, 24 & 29 (pick the classes that work for you)

  • 3–4 years old: 4:30–5 p.m.
    All children MUST BE in puddle jumpers. Parents are not required to be in the water. Cost: $4 per class.
  • 5–8 years old: 5–5:30 p.m.
    Swimmers should be comfortable in water (knowing the strokes IS NOT necessary). Cost: $4 per class.
  • 9–18 years old: 5:30–6:30 p.m.
    Advanced swimming technique and endurance sessions. Cost: $6 per class.

Infant to 5 Years Instructional Swimming

Parent must accompany child in water. Cost is $30 for first child, $26 for second child.

Intramural Sports

The goal of LVC Intramural Sports is to provide opportunities for healthy exercise and to enrich social competence. All eligible students, staff, and faculty are invited to play.

All event info and registrations will be through Redbook.

Spring 2025 Schedule

  • Friday, Jan. 17, at 8 p.m.: Darts Tournament
  • Sunday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m.: Pickleball Tournament
  • Friday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m.: Cornhole Tournament
  • Month of April: 3-On-3 IM Basketball League
