Art Students Collaborate with Seven Cuz and Spring House Brewing

Creative Arts student work chosen for beer can design

Four Students’ Designs will be on Seven Cuz Beer Series

The art of four students—Courtney Smith ’24, M’25, Kayla Irizarry ’28, Braden Bohannon ’25, and Natalie Moore ’28—was selected to be included on Seven Cuz Beer Store can labels brewed by Lancaster’s Spring House Brewing. The students designed their artwork in the College’s Creative Studios, taught by Dr. Grant Taylor, Director of Creative Arts and Professor of Art & Art History, as part of the Creative Arts curriculum.

“Brian Musser from Seven Cuz wanted to support local artists by replicating Spring House Brewing’s award-winning Artist Collab Series in Lebanon County, so I thought it would be a powerful learning experience to collaborate with these local businesses,” Taylor said. “They asked us to provide captivating artwork that could be part of a series of different can designs, and the creative work of four of our students was selected.

“This is the ideal example of applied learning and community partnerships, harnessing education to help local businesses,” he added. “The students learned relief and screen printing in the class, so it is rewarding to see them apply these skills to a professional environment.

The can labels will be released this month with the students’ names, and LVC noted on the back of each can.
