Dr. Paul Logan is a cardiovascular nurse practitioner, faculty member, and health services researcher. While an undergraduate, he was awarded the Senior Commissioned Officer Student Training Extern Program (COSTEP) scholarship by the U.S. Public Health Service. Following graduation, he worked at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md. In 1994, he earned his master’s in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and became one of the first acute care nurse practitioners in the country.

Professor Logan has been a cardiovascular nurse practitioner in Greater Philadelphia and Central Pennsylvania and taught at Penn State University for a decade. He continues to expand his skills and knowledge by conducting research at LVC and practicing with WellSpan Cardiology. He authored the only textbook for acute care nurse practitioners, Principles of Practice for the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, and founded Logan Solutions, a healthcare technology company.

Dr. Logan and his wife, Jeanne, a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Medical Director of Penn State Health’s Autism Program, have four children, one of whom is a Nurse. They enjoy sailing on the Chesapeake with their friends.
