Wig & Buckle Theater Company

Live Theater, by Students

Founded in 1935, the Wig and Buckle Theater Company is proud of its tradition of providing quality live theater produced and performed by students for the LVC campus and the central Pennsylvania community.

The oldest continually operational student organization on campus, Wig and Buckle annually produces three to four shows a year. Wig and Buckle also serves as the resident theater company for the LVC English Department’s Theater Concentration, playing a vital co-curricular role in the training and application of students’ theater skills.

Wig and Buckle is open to all LVC students and meets every Friday at 4 p.m. in Leedy Theater.

Wig & Buckle presents Something Rotten!

Something Rotten is a musical set in the 1590s, where brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as “The Bard.” When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz.
