Housing Options
You’ll spend your first two years in traditional residence halls, supported by live-in resident assistants who are there to show you the ropes and help you have a good time. As an upperclassman, you may also have the option to choose among suite- or apartment-style options (based on availability) or opt to live in a house focused on a special interest—such as academic, diversity, or social justice. And you’ll never have to worry about finding a place to live because housing is guaranteed for all four years.
If you are requesting special housing conditions such as air-conditioning, medical documentation from a physician stating the specific housing need is necessary; the Housing Accommodation Verification Form must be completed for special housing needs.
Return the form to the Office of Residential Life by May 31, in order for us to meet your request. Forms should only be submitted if there is a documented medical need and special housing is absolutely required.
If you are requesting a special meal plan or housing consideration for a religious, cultural identity, and/or gender identity/sexual orientation need, please complete Form C: Identity-Based Housing Request.

Along with traditional residence life options, LVC also offers special interest communities where students live together in on-campus houses. These communities enable students interested in a particular topic or cause to live and work together in a communal setting and create programming that benefits the campus under the guidance of the Office of Residential Life.
Previous communities have included the Women’s Services and Gender Resource Center, sustainability, mental health awareness, a STEM house for first-year residents, Community Response for Everyone’s Wellbeing, diversity, and wellness.
Room rates for interest-driven housing vary and could fall under traditional or Level 1 costs.
First-year Student Communities
Most first-year students will be assigned to reserved first-year student residence halls. These first-year student communities have been developed to help new students adjust to their new academic environment and encourage their participation in activities, as well as develop bonds of friendship.
Limited graduate housing is available for students on a space-available basis. Priority is given to students enrolled in a full-time, in-person graduate program whose permanent residency is greater than 30 miles from Lebanon Valley College. Graduate students interested in living on campus should contact res-life@lvc.edu or 717-867-6230 for more information on how to apply for housing.
